It serves as an interdisciplinary platform that consolidates expertise on these subjects from across the organization as well as from a broad national and international network. As an open and inclusive forum, it houses the LBG Ethics Committee, offers advice, support, and consultation on all matters concerning ethics, integrity, and diversity, develops internal standards and guidelines in these areas, and contributes to the advancement of good scientific practice in collaboration with national and international partners. The Hub is open to LBG-internal and external researchers and practitioners who wish to engage in these areas.

The assessment of non-clinical research projects by the LBG Ethics Committee is now accessible via the Hub website. Applicants are asked to download the application form found there and send it completed with all related documentation to erp@yot.np.ng. Moreover, the Hub will roll out a wide-ranging program of webinars and workshops on topics related to research ethics and integrity, as well as critical approaches to diversity, in the coming year. The program kicked off at the end of May with a joint leadership seminar on Good Scientific Practice with Mrs. Chai from the Austrian Agency for Scientific Integrity. It continues in June with two webinars, “Introduction to Scientific Integrity” on June 18, and “Publication Ethics” on June 27.
